What is Norton 360 Deluxe?

Norton 360 Deluxe is a comprehensive security suite from Norton for up to 5 devices, and the successor to Norton 360 Standard in the range. Where Standard protects you on 1 device against viruses and malware, Deluxe extends that protection to your whole household: up to 5 PCs, Macs, phones and tablets at once, with 50 GB Cloud Backup instead of 10 GB to keep your files safe. On top of that, you get two features that Standard doesn't offer: Dark Web Monitoring, which alerts you as soon as your data has been leaked, and parental control, which lets you set what your children can see online. Want to protect even more devices or get more storage space? Then Norton 360 Premium (10 devices, 75 GB Cloud Backup) is the logical next step; the protection itself stays the same.

Our first impression

We tested Norton 360 Deluxe in July 2026 on a Windows laptop and an iPhone, and found it easy to use. Everything is laid out clearly, with brief explanations at each step in plain language rather than technical jargon, so even without a technical background you understand what you're setting up and why within a few minutes. Adding extra devices is just as simple: you send an installation link by email or text message, or have someone scan a QR code, so the rest of your devices are quickly protected too.

What stood out to us during use?

• You set up Dark Web Monitoring in a few steps: you indicate which email addresses should be monitored, and monitoring is active straight away.
• Password management (as a browser extension) automatically filled in our login details after installation, including on our iPhone, so we no longer had to remember or retype passwords ourselves.
• Parental control can be set individually per child at a restriction level suited to their age, with options for web supervision, time and location supervision, and activity reports.
• Norton's AI assistant Genie helps with checking suspicious messages or websites.

With four restriction levels based on age, you set up web supervision, time and location supervision, app and search supervision, school time settings, video supervision and activity reports.
• Dark Web Monitoring / identity protection: Stolen data such as passwords and credit card numbers is often traded on the dark web, without you knowing until damage has already been done. You choose which personal data is monitored yourself. If your data is found on the dark web, you'll see where, which data has been exposed and what steps you can take to limit the risk.
• Protection against scams: Scams via text message, email and fake websites are becoming increasingly sophisticated and aren't always easy to spot. AI-driven scam detection via Safe Web (web pages) and Safe SMS (text messages) helps identify these, supplemented by AI assistant Genie so you can check suspicious messages yourself.
• Cloud Backup: A crash, ransomware attack or stolen laptop can mean losing all your files and photos. With 50 GB of encrypted, automatic Cloud Backup of your PC, you prevent this and can always fall back on your backup.
• Password management: Weak or reused passwords make it easier for attackers to gain access to multiple of your accounts. Password management stores your passwords in an encrypted vault in the cloud, so you can use a strong, unique password for every account.
• Performance improvement: Outdated software and a full disk slow down your PC. The software updater, file cleanup, disk optimisation and startup manager keep your PC running smoothly.
• SafeCam: Hackers can remotely gain access to your webcam or microphone and listen in or watch you without you noticing. SafeCam protects your PC's webcam and microphone against remote access.

Who is Norton 360 Deluxe suitable for?

Norton 360 Deluxe is the right choice for households and families, home users, sole traders and freelancers who want to protect up to 5 devices, but don't need identity restoration support, help after a stolen wallet or Social Media Monitoring. You get excellent protection, just not the maximum version offered by Norton 360 Advanced.

Who is it less suitable for?

Want to protect fewer than 5 devices? There's also a Norton 360 Deluxe variant for 3 devices, bundled with Jottacloud. This offers the same protection, but with unlimited cloud storage via Jottacloud instead of 50 GB, at a lower price. Want to protect more devices or get more Cloud Backup instead?
